Day-wise Itinerary Map

Day 1 – Arrival | Colombo

Arrive and settle into your hotel in Colombo. If time permits, enjoy a short introduction to the city before preparing for the wild adventure ahead.

Day 2 – Colombo → Minneriya National Park → Dambulla

Travel to Minneriya, where vast herds of elephants gather near the reservoir. Join a game drive and witness this spectacular natural phenomenon.

Day 3 – Dambulla → Nuwara Eliya

Move into the cooler highlands, stopping at a lush tea plantation and taking in the mist-covered valleys of “Little England”. Stay overnight in the hills.

Day 4 – Nuwara Eliya → Yala

Descend into Yala for an afternoon safari. Begin the search for leopards, sloth bears and other large mammals in one of Asia’s richest wildlife zones.

Day 5 – Full Day in Yala

Enjoy a full-day safari with morning and evening drives. Take advantage of prime viewing times for elusive wildlife and dramatic landscapes.

Day 6 – Yalaa → Udawalawe

Head to Udawalawe, where elephant sightings are almost guaranteed. Visit the Elephant Transit Centre and explore the rugged terrain by afternoon safari.

Day 7 – Udawalawea → Sinharaja

Move toward the southern rainforests. Trek through dense jungle, soaking in the sounds and sights of nature, then continue toward the coast for your last nights by the sea.

Day 8 – Sinharaja → Galle

Set out early by boat from the southern coast to seek out blue whales, sperm whales and playful dolphins in one of the world’s top marine-mammal zones.

Day 9 – Galle → Mirissa → Galle

Enjoy a relaxed morning along the coastline before driving to historic Galle Fort. Explore its ramparts and charming streets, then head to the airport for your flight home.
